Tanzania Country Report 2012


The Government of Tanzania continues confronting the problem of corruption in the country through the NACSAP Phase II - Tanzania anti-corruption campaign efforts focus to improve the country’s economy, living standards and business environment.

The National Anti- Corruption Strategy and Action Plan Phase II (NACSAP II)                                                             project with the aim of strengthening the mechanisms and processes for the prevention and combating of corruption in Tanzania came to an end in December, 2011 after its four years of implementation (2008-2011).  Moreover the Government of Tanzania and its stakeholders are keen to maintain this national approach towards preventing and fighting corruption. Therefore we are now in the process of formulating NACSAP III.
